I used Project Ignite as a way to get my 5th/6th graders access to Tinkercad. Now that the two are merged, I'm at a SEVERE handicap. The site keeps telling me that I can log in my students to tinkercad using some kind of code (specifically because they are under 12 yrs of age), however, NOWHERE in the log-in area for students is a way to use this code. Can you walk me through this? How would a student use this class invite code to get access to the page? If possible, walk me through this step-by-step as if I were a student. What should I click, what should pop up, and how would I then get access to the "assignments" (the option that we had while it was still project ignite). Thank you.

Permanently deleted user Official comment Hi tserabian,
If you were moderating students in Project Ignite, then you will moderate them in Tinkercad as well. All your students have to do is log into Tinkercad with their Project Ignite username and password. Once your student has successfully logged into Tinkercad, then they will appear under the Moderated Kids page under your profile menu.
As for new students creating accounts, they can follow the signup process, making sure to enter their correct birth date, and a valid parent email. After they click create account, they will have an opportunity to enter your Invitation code. This will be seen on the gallery page, clicking the Tinkercad logo in the upper left will always return you to the gallery page. You can see an image of the page below.
The ability to "Assign" projects has been replaced. Students simply navigate to the project on the learn page and begin. Progress is stored with the lesson, if they leave and return the next day the lesson will pick up where it left off.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
John

Cleared I have just tried this with a class of students and there was nowhere to enter an invite code. Perhaps this is because they are over the age of 13. i would like some advice as to how this should be achieved

Christian We are likely to add moderation of over 13 and over kids ahead of the next schoolyear. For now, the 13 and older can click "Share", then generate a shareable link with you that expires after 2 weeks. After 2 weeks they can regenerate the Share link.

amy mulgrew Thanks for the guidance Christian. That helps. And the moderation for 13+ would be great! Can you also include a "share" link for the circuit designs, please?
