Hello. I noticed there are advisories and warnings about overloading components. I tested this and found that there is no warning when connecting the 5V pin directly to the board's ground pin. Could warnings be added to ensure that people new to Arduino realize when they are shorting two pins together so they don't reproduce this on a real board and destroy it?

Permanently deleted user Official comment This is great feedback. We'll try to incorporate some messages about overcurrent on the Arduino. I agree that this will help users not to make mistakes that can destroy their hardware.

phjondot phjondot I was about to ask the same question, as I saw too that Tinkercad warned me against frying a Led, but never against frying the Arduino Uno ! Doing the same experiment than the OP, I inserted a Amp meter between the 5V pin and the ground to see it mesuring 25kA !
Congratulations and thanks though for this amazing piece of software. It is so good already one would expect it to be perfect !
