I can't figure out how to create designs around a cylinder. They all turn out with straight lines that cannot "hug" the cylinder. How do I get around this? I see designs in the Gallery where someone did a cylinder candle holder. How did they do this? Someone please help! Thank you!

What you're probably going to find is the use of solid objects as holes that "carve" a design into the cylinder.
Here's a partially ungrouped candle holder from the gallery:
You can see how the flower patterns have been extended through the outer cylinder, made into a hole, then grouped with the outer cylinder. The inner red cylinder is added to seal the holes from the inside.
If you want the designs to appear raised on the surface of the cylinder, you could use a similar technique, but instead of making the designs a "hole", you could create a slightly larger hole "sleeve" to wrap around the outside, which would keep the raised design thickness uniform.

Permanently deleted user Hi Ada,
You'll need to play around with Grouping different objects together. If you Copy & Tinker some of the objects, like the candle holder and even some of the Peter the Penguin models, you can see what we've done by Ungrouping the models.
The best real-world example I can think of is if you were to stack a bunch of different colored wood blocks together and cut/sanded off all the edges to make a striped cutting board. Does that make sense?
I also believe there is a new Shape Generator with curved text, if that helps.
