It would be great if Tinkercad had another shape format next to hole and color called color spots. It would look similar to a hole, but with a choosable color. When grouped with another shape, the part of the shape that is covered by the color spot would become that color. It is possible to make sections of a shape a different color, but it is time consuming and glitches give it extra steps. So Tinkercad, please add color spots!

Permanently deleted user Hi Dragon Girl. We understand what you need. We will need to allow different faces to have more than one color in order for this to work. Remember that Tinkercad was optimized for printing in desktop printers, where support for several colors can only happen if each color is assigned to a different body.
We are experimenting with enabling attributes per face, which would make what you want possible in the medium future.

Cleared Interesting idea! It would be cool! One thing though, you basically have the option to do this sort of thing with the shapes already given It wouldn't be exactly the same, but it works pretty well. I would have a hard time explaining in this format, but I'll just say that you need to select the "color shape" you want to make a colored section with, then select the object you want to group it with, and group them. When you turn the color back to multicolor after grouping them, it should have a colored section.
