I've made a couple of simple rings, one 5mm and the other 10mm height.
Possibly after grouping, the height has been reduced by a small amount (less than I can adjust on the grip).
The 5mm had changed to 4.98mm and the 10mm changed to 9.96mm

Correct...pressing Shift while resizing using the handles for a selected object will proportionally resize that object in x, y, and z directions. We're working on what you describe for an enhancement to the current workflows...stay tuned.
Can you please share the URL? can't seem to reproduce the problem. Maybe I'm doing the wrong steps.
Thanks!
Not sure what you mean by URL, but I think I found the problem. I did not understand that the shift key scales in 3D, I had thought it just did scaling in the workplane directions (ie 2D).
So if you change a cylinder diameter, with the shift key to keep it circular, you need to reset the height.
It would be better if the default shapes had a properties table like the community ones so you can set radius, height, resolution etc by typing.
I picked this up from the training about the shift key, either I wasn't paying attention or it gives the wrong impression, not sure which.
