New to 3d printing. Say I have Flashforge Creator Pro I want to print too. Do I just download the STL for printing and copy it to flash card to print? Or do I need another program to make supports etc in the STL file before printing?

First of all you need something to convert stl code to gcode which tells the printer what motor actions are required to to produce desired results. Usually the software that does this is called a slicer. I know that Flashforge includes their own slicer with the Dreamer model printer but I am not certain about the Creator Pro. Either way if you don't have Flashprint included with your printer you will need another slicer such as Slic3r or Cura two highly popular slicers. After a .g file has been made you can move that to your printer on an sd card. FYI a slicer is the same software that lets you add supports and various things most the time.
