I designed a part, to use in my parts library, but it wont save it.
I hit save part, but then get a failed to publish part message, anyone else have this too?

Can you take and share some screen grabs of the before and after so we can try to debug the issue?
Are you inputting a name in the name field? This can sometimes prevent saving.
Same issue for me. It worked months ago, but now it won't. It starts the green progress indicator in the bottom-left part of the screen, and after about 1.5 seconds, it turns orange ans says, "Failed to Publish part."
I thought it might be a complexity or size issue, so I simplified the part and shrunk it by half, and then in half again. No dice.
I thought maybe it was a browser issue, so I opened Tinkercad from a different browser(Internet Explorer) and from there it would not even let me open up the "My Parts" menu. I went back to Microsoft Edge, which runs Tinkercad smoother and faster, but with less resolution. I'm stuck. Please help. Thanks!
Generally, the only time you see this is when the model is complex, like large, imported stl's etc.
It could also be a slow connection or a bug we haven't seen yet.
We're not seeing this issue, currently. It may be something that will be hard for us to replicate.
I would recommend downloading Chrome for all Tinkercad usage.
It is our recommended browser and generally has the most stable experience.
I'm having this issue as well. I think it might be caused by using two separate computers. I can upload parts to my collection perfectly at my work computer, but when I come home to my PC, I cant add anything to my collection. Same error message at the bottom left of the screen. Its an orange box that said "Failed to Publish." I also tried using Chrome with the same error message. Any other updates would be awesome. Thanks!

The two things to try-
- Make sure that you are logged in to Tinkercad. Sometimes when coming back to the various workspaces after a time, the connections will have dropped. This can produce the 'Failed to Publish' error message.
- The most likely issue has to do with the complexity of the parts you are making. You may have a great connection at work, which allows Tinkercad to complete the workflow faster. If your connection is slower at home, the function could time out earlier because of slower processing. In this case, the browser could stop if it takes longer than 2 minutes. This could be especially true with imported .stl's.
Can you test to see if you can turn a simple shape like a box into a Part? If so, its likely a time out issue, due to complexity.
Thanks Wayne Losey
for your response.
Unfortunately even the most basic shapes have the same result. And, it doesn't appear to be timing out because I'm getting the error message almost instantly. I have very good internet at home. I've used tinkercad daily at home and at work for the past year, and this has really been the only issue with the site for me. It isn't even a big problem. Tinkercad is awesome! Just thought I'd throw in some helpful critique incase anyone else was trying to work through this. Thanks again!

Colton,
I'm really glad you are using it. We will be investing more time in new Part-related features for the coming year.
Can you try clearing the memory cache on your browser? For Chrome you will need to look under 'More Tools' for 'Clear Browsing data' then select only 'Cached Images and Files'.
If this does help, maybe you could open up your developer console and take a screen grab of the error messages (in red) in the side console. Instructions below-
I am having a similar issue. As soon as I try to modify the part it says that it is saving and then kicks me out saying session has expired. Any way to recover a corrupt part?
